Information

Title
When a Verified Customer type isn’t fully verified, can they send/receive transfers?

Summary
The answer depends on the customer type and funds flow(s) your business is signed up for.

Personal Verified
Receive Funds: Funds will only process to their Dwolla Balance and a bank transfer will remain pending until the end user becomes fully verified.

Send Funds: No. A Personal Verified Customer needs to have a status of Verified in order to successfully initiate a transfer. If a Personal Verified Customer has a status of Verified, but is unable to initiate a transfer, the end user has likely not completed the bank verification process. You can check to see the status of the funding source via the API or by going into the Dwolla Dashboard.

Business Verified
Receive Funds: Funds will only process to their Dwolla Balance and all bank transfers will remain pending until the business has been verified and the Beneficial Owners have been verified and certified.

Send Funds: No. A Business Verified Customer can only send funds after their business has been verified and its Beneficial Owners have been verified and certified.
