**Title**
What options does Dwolla offer for bank account verification?

**Summary**
Bank accounts can be verified through the use of micro-deposits (MDs) or instant account verification (IAV). Micro-deposit verification is the default method for verifying a connected funding source. If you choose the micro-deposit method of bank verification, Dwolla will transfer two deposits of less than $0.10 to your customer's linked bank or credit union account.

After [initiating micro-deposits](https://developers.dwolla.com/api-reference/funding-sources/initiate-micro-deposits), two random amounts will post to your customer’s bank account in 1-2 business days. Once your customer sees these deposits in their account, they need to verify the two amounts in your application. If subscribed to [webhooks](https://developers.dwolla.com/guides/webhooks/create-subscription), your application will be notified throughout this process via micro-deposit related [events](https://developers.dwolla.com/api-reference/events).

Instant Account Verification (IAV) supports bank account verification with a variety of network partners (currently Finicity, MX, Plaid). This solution gives businesses additional flexibility to work with their preferred bank account verification partner, as well as added convenience for a more interconnected payment experience. View the [developer documentation](https://developers.dwolla.com/guides/plaid) to learn what partners are part of our solutions network.
